Job summary

Undeb Aberystwyth invites applications for a Faith Communities Coordinator (Fixed Term until June 2027) to strengthen belonging, wellbeing and engagement for students of faith and support vibrant faith communities in collaboration with the University and local partners. The role is 0.5 full-time (18 hours/week), with flexible hours negotiated with the line manager.

It acts as the first contact for faith societies, supports committees, and promotes inclusive activities while upholding Union

Qualifications

• Good general education, typically Higher/A-level equivalent.
• University/College degree or equivalent desirable.
• Experience arranging engaging meetings and events.
• Experience planning promotional and communication campaigns.
• Experience training volunteers in independent, self-directed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide opportunities for faith student communities to develop and join.
• Organise events celebrating beliefs and promote the needs of students of faith.
• Act as a go-between for students and faith groups to join communities.
• Promote opportunities during Welcome Week and Re-Freshers with others.
• Ensure faith societies operate in line with Undeb Aber policies and health/safety standards.
