Job summary

Uniguest is seeking a Financial Accountant to ensure statutory compliance, VAT/tax management, audit coordination, and accurate reporting across EMEA and AP entities.

The role requires strong accounting technical knowledge, excellent organisation, and collaboration with internal stakeholders and external advisors to maintain regulatory compliance while supporting the wider finance team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years VAT, Tax & Audit experience.
• Experience in multicurrency UK statutory reporting.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience coordinating external audits.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Exposure to ERP systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, Avalara, Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate annual statutory financial statements for assigned legal entities.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations and statutory filing requirements across EMEA and AP jurisdictions.
• VAT/GST returns and related compliance obligations for multiple entities.
• Coordinate indirect tax registrations, filings and audits where required.
• Act as the primary finance contact for external statutory audits.
• Maintain insurance schedules and support insurance claims.
• Month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities; regional reporting and ad hoc analyses.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
