Barbour is seeking a Global Social Media & Community Manager to lead the end-to-end organic social strategy for Barbour and Barbour International on a maternity cover basis. The role, based at the Head Office in South Shields, requires driving engagement, maintaining brand voice and visual identity, and collaborating with Global Campaign Managers to deliver campaigns globally.

• Experience in brand or ecommerce social media management.
• Degree in Marketing or Communications preferred.
• Excellent copywriting for social media.
• Experience with social scheduling/listening tools.
• Strong communication and data-analysis skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and execute the global organic social media strategy for Barbour and Barbour International, defining platform roles and governance.
• Own the global social content calendar, workflows and approval processes, overseeing daily publishing and live social activity.
• Lead social-first campaign planning with Global Campaign Managers, including events and collaborations.
• Design and build social assets in Figma and edit video content using Premiere Pro / CapCut.
• Write and adapt copy across both brands with consistent tone and messaging.
• Manage global community strategy and engagement, including agency oversight.
• Collaborate with PR, Communications and Customer Service on crisis response and insights.
