Job summary

SmartestEnergy is seeking a Global Risk Analyst to support the Group Risk function. You will monitor, analyse and report on key risks across our international operations, contributing to a consistent risk framework and robust governance.

You will gain exposure to energy trading risk (market, credit, operational, enterprise) and work with teams in the UK, US, Australia and Japan, developing your analytical and stakeholder management skills for future growth within global risk management.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science or related discipline.
• Substantial experience in risk management, wholesale energy trading, financial services, consulting or a quantitative analytical role.
• Experience analysing data and producing reports using Excel and other analytical tools.
• Strong numerical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyse and report on key risks across global operations.
• Support the Global Risk Manager and leadership with governance and reporting.
• Contribute to a consistent global risk management framework across multiple regions.
• Collaborate with teams across UK, US, Australia and Japan to improve risk processes.
