Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is seeking an experienced Retail Projects Director to lead major client projects from development to delivery near Swindon.

You will own account strategies, manage multinational client relationships, and drive revenue growth and margin improvement across retail accounts. The role requires travel internationally and a full UK driving licence, with a hybrid work model (3 days in office, 2 days at home).

Qualifications

• Significant experience in commercial project delivery at Director or senior management level.
• Proven experience delivering major projects for multinational retail clients, ideally internationally.
• Strong track record managing key accounts and delivering revenue and margin growth.
• Extensive experience managing complex client relationships.
• Experience in product or project development and global sourcing.
• Knowledge of FSC, EUDR, UKTR and EUTR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial ownership of key client projects from development through delivery.
• Develop account strategies to support client retention, revenue growth and margin improvement.
• Act as the senior point of contact for key clients and build strong, long-term relationships.
• Manage commercial development and pricing of new products and projects with global suppliers and manufacturers.
• Oversee supplier selection based on quality, cost and delivery requirements.
• Identify opportunities for account growth, cross-selling and upselling.
• Monitor KPIs, budgets, revenue and profitability, implementing corrective actions where required.
• Lead client review meetings and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
