Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced Senior Equipment Procurement Manager to lead global sourcing, tendering, and supplier relationships for retail display equipment. You will collaborate with Sales, Design and Project Management teams to develop cost models, BOMs and procurement strategies across Asia, Europe and the UK, driving continuous improvement and on-time delivery for customers.

The role is hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days at home) with a salary of £50,000 per annum, a

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years' procurement experience in retail display equipment.
• Experience managing teams or as a line manager.
• Experience sourcing products through international supply chains.
• Strong supplier relationship management skills.
• Excellent negotiation experience with overseas manufacturers.
• Experience using ERP systems (Sage X3).
• Degree educated.
• Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of commercially competitive tender submissions for retail display equipment projects.
• Analyse customer requirements, specifications, and technical drawings to develop accurate cost models.
• Produce Bills of Materials (BOMs) and detailed cost breakdowns.
• Develop procurement strategies across global supply chains (Asia, Europe and UK).
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and supplier agreements.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and supply chain improvements.
• Monitor commodity prices, freight costs, and currency fluctuations.
• Build and maintain long-term strategic supplier relationships.
• Evaluate supplier capability, quality, capacity and financial stability.
• Identify, onboard and audit new suppliers.
• Manage purchasing activities to meet delivery requirements.
• Maintain quality standards and recover costs where needed.
• Work with Business Development on tender strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement across procurement processes.
