Job summary

FundApps is seeking a Regulatory Analyst to translate financial regulations into our rules engine. You will own regulatory work from analysis through to implementation, testing and release, collaborating with Product, Engineering and Client Services to deliver compliant solutions.

The role combines finance, law and technology, and requires you to work independently, with a strong eye for detail and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulatory, compliance, legal, technical, quantitative or business analyst role, ideally within financial services or RegTech.
• Good knowledge of financial instruments such as equities, bonds and derivatives.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of work, while recognising when an issue needs escalation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, clear explanation of complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Independently analysing financial regulation and translating complex requirements into FundApps' rule language.
• Owning regulatory changes and rule updates through analysis, implementation, testing and release.
• Applying judgment to regulatory interpretation and escalating complex issues when needed.
• Investigating client queries on regulatory interpretation and rule logic, working with Client Services for clear answers.
• Collaborating with Product and Engineering on modifications to services from a regulatory perspective.
• Reviewing and testing regulatory rules to ensure they reflect requirements.
• Identifying opportunities to improve how the Regulatory team works and implementing practical improvements.
• Contributing to team standards and best practices around regulatory analysis, coding, testing and documentation.
• Sharing knowledge with colleagues and supporting less experienced team members.
