Job summary

Amcor is seeking an experienced R&D Portfolio & Project Manager for a fixed-term maternity cover. The role oversees the portfolio of R&D projects, coordinating cross-functional teams across product design, development, and packaging operations.

This on-site position requires strong project governance and reporting to the Director, Global Rigid Packaging Solutions R&D. The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 5 years in product design/development, solid CAD skills (SolidWorks/KeyShot), and proven

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product design and development, preferably in an R&D environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software and knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Experience with portfolio management and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Generate innovative product concepts based on market research and trends.
• Be project manager and ensure projects follow the stage-gate model.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with timely delivery.
• Create detailed design specifications, sketches, and prototypes using CAD tools.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and manufacturing to ensure design feasibility.
• Document design processes and project progress.
