Job summary

IonQ in Oxford seeks a Technical Programme Manager, System Delivery to lead deployment and commissioning of quantum systems across Europe and Asia. The role requires a hardware background and 5+ years managing complex deployments, including cross-border logistics and customer deployments.

You will coordinate export, visas and field readiness, report to the Compute - PMO team, and work on-site in Oxford with significant travel. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Five or more years running technical programmes or deployments of complex hardware systems.
• Experience taking a first of its kind product from prototype into production.
• Comfortable managing critical paths across teams that do not report to you.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of quantum system deployment and commissioning at customer sites across Europe and Asia.
• Run export, import and customs work with legal, trade compliance and logistics teams for highly specialised equipment.
• Coordinate global mobility for deploying teams, covering visas, work authorisation, travel and field assignment readiness.
• Drive site readiness with facilities, security, networking and customer stakeholders, and coordinate staffing, installation sequencing and vendors onsite.
• Track risk and critical path, and resolve issues across internal teams, vendors and customers.
