Job summary

Syngenta Crop Protection seeks a scientific leader for (Q)SAR modelling and expert knowledge systems to drive global toxicology decision making. You will own Syngenta's global QSAR strategy, evaluate analogues, and lead a dispersed team of computational and regulatory toxicologists across geographies.

You will role-model technical leadership, ensure regulatory alignment, and contribute to innovative techno-regulatory strategies and evidence-based decision making.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of effective technical or people leadership of a group of technical staff.
• Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity and resolve business-critical issues with internal and external stakeholders.
• Capability to comply with regional and global requirements and deliver to defined standards.
• Proven ability to contribute innovation to problem solving and emerging science in toxicology.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of toxicologists responsible for QSAR assessments and expert interpretation.
• Collaborate with global teams to design fit-for-purpose approaches aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Act as an expert for regulatory challenges and technical strategies.
• Proactively manage study delivery issues and stakeholder management.
• Ensure toxicology data is delivered to time, cost, and quality with technical leadership.
• Develop techno-regulatory strategies and advocate science-led positions to stakeholders.
• Support training and development across the Product Safety organization.
