Job summary

Robertson Sumner Ltd. is seeking a proactive Head of Buying to own the strategic procurement function.

You will build supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and drive cost savings across IT hardware, software and services, with regional responsibilities including the UK and Europe. Based in Cheshire, the role involves cross-border sourcing, reporting on supplier performance, and occasional worldwide travel to engage key partners.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT channel, software and services.
• Understanding of licensing concepts and commercial terms.
• Degree-level education; CIPS preferred but not essential.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategic buying function across regions.
• Negotiate with vendors and manage supplier relationships.
• Forecast pricing and report on KPIs.
• Develop supplier catalogs and manage contracts.
• Travel as needed to engage key suppliers and attend meetings.
