Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience designing, commissioning and troubleshooting controls systems.
• Experience integrating with warehouse management or sort allocation systems is a plus.
• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification, or assessed experience.
• Strong electrical knowledge and ability to read drawings and software.
• Good planning, organisation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical input at sales/tender stage and assist with estimates.
• Review requirements and complete compliance matrices.
• Develop and implement controls standards and improve design framework.
• Lead technical projects and maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
• Validate designs against customer requirements; witness FAT/SAT.
• Guide Controls Engineers in PLC software development and fault-finding.
• Ensure integration with electrical, mechanical, IT and high-level controls.
• Maintain high quality deliverables and support department objectives.
