Job summary

Batra Group in Hertfordshire/Essex is seeking a Group Product Sustainability Lead to establish and own the sustainability function across product and packaging, turning complex legislation into clear, commercially practical actions.

You will collaborate across product, sourcing, operations and finance, build scalable compliance processes, drive readiness for EPR, PPWR and Digital Product Passports, and lead reporting for UK and EU registrations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of UK/EU product and packaging regulation.
• Experience with EPR, PPWR, DPP or related sustainability legislation.
• Ability to establish and lead a function from the ground up.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Pragmatic approach to solving complex compliance challenges.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive action across a business.

Responsibilities

• Lead UK and European compliance registrations and reporting.
• Develop the group’s product compliance and sustainability roadmap.
• Establish robust data collection, governance and reporting processes.
• Drive readiness for EPR, PPWR, Digital Product Passports and emerging product legislation.
• Manage packaging, sustainability reporting and end-of-life obligations.
• Create clear accountability across multiple business functions.
• Build a scalable compliance framework to support continued European growth.
• Monitor regulatory change and ensure the business stays ahead of it.
