Job summary

Octagon Group is seeking a Product Support Engineer to join our team in Newtown. You will provide technical support across global customers and partners, and work with R&D, Product Management and Manufacturing on product testing and field issues.

The role offers exposure to firmware releases, hardware development, and hands-on problem solving in a technical, customer-facing environment. A degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience providing technical or applications support in an engineering environment.
• Strong ability to build relationships with customers, distributors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive and reactive technical support for Control Techniques products.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical and field issues.
• Work closely with R&D on product hardware and firmware development and testing.
• Provide feedback to Product Management on product issues, improvements and new requirements.
• Develop technical documentation, user guides and training materials.
• Act as an interface between Manufacturing, Design, Product Management and the wider global support network.
• Support conferences, exhibitions and customer visits both in the UK and internationally.
