Global Product Manager - Advisory Services - Financial and Insurance Solutions

This position reports to: Advisory Services Product Line Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement strategies for financial and insurance services, identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities with ecosystem partners and clients. You will create and manage financial models to support pricing, profitability, and investment decisions, oversee underwriting and investment processes between third-party investors and customers, design risk management frameworks for BESS projects, develop insurance products to mitigate financial risks, and stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to provide insights to senior management.

The work model for this role is: hybrid. Preferred location: Global. Reporting to: Advisory Services Product Line Manager.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  1. Developing and executing a comprehensive offering strategy for ‘as-a-service’ financial and insurance services.
  2. Identifying business/funding opportunities across ecosystem partners and clients, developing business cases for executing such opportunities.
  3. Creating and maintaining detailed financial models to support product pricing, profitability analysis, and investment decisions.
  4. Defining and managing underwriting and investment processes between third-party investors and customers.
  5. Designing and implementing risk management frameworks tailored to BESS projects.
  6. Developing insurance products and partnerships to mitigate financial risks and enhance customer value.
  7. Staying informed of global and local industry developments, energy markets, competitive positioning, and regulatory and legislative policies.
  8. Providing regular reports and insights to senior management on offering performance, regulatory changes, and industry trends.
Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in product management, financial modeling, project financing, and insurance within the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and market trends; high proficiency in financial modelling.
  • Thorough understanding of energy and power distribution customer needs and segments, electrical products, electricity energy economics, energy markets, applications, and processes.
  • Ability to propose project scope independently, negotiate partnerships, and close deals with customers.
  • Customer-focused, driven to achieve and secure profitable deals.
  • Good knowledge of contract and risk management, sales processes, and related tools; ability to accurately estimate costs of service offerings.
  • Global mindset, intercultural sensitivity, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
