Job Purpose

  • To develop and manage the global marketing plan and in so doing providing a clear direction of the strategic focus; including market segmentation, targeting and positioning of the products within the Suture portfolio.
  • To actively manage the product portfolio including product development, line extensions and new product launches, ensuring alignment with other AMS business functions and support distributors and direct sales force in various countries.

Key Results Area

  • Delivery of marketing plan in line with the strategy.
  • Delivery of key demand generations programs and output.
  • Achievement of sales budget.
  • Achievement of target sales margin

What will this role involve?

  • Work as a collaborative member of the Suture / Clips / VTO Sales and Marketing team to assure alignment on initiatives/objectives.
  • Generation of sales materials, collateral and other marketing tools.
  • Owner of analytical market data, sales/units/pricing trends and analysis; identify trends and opportunities.
  • Monitoring and analysis of competitor activity.
  • Providing direct field support to gain in-field experience and assist sales team when needed.
  • Downstream launch efforts for new product launches.
  • Define and manage key conferences and symposia to attend, building business rational for activities and key business objectives to accomplish.
  • Support of Sales management team to grow portfolio adoption and achieve business objectives.
  • Assist in development of KOL’s to help drive company initiatives.
  • International travel up to 45%.
  • Day to day working relationships with Commercial team, clinical, R&D, and Operations and the global marketing team.
  • Daily working relationship with channel partner marketing personnel

What we're looking for?

  • 4-5 yrs. Marketing Experience in a global surgical business.
  • Previous relevant experience in medical device marketing and brand/product management on a strategic and tactical level.
  • A collaborator – willingness and passion to partner with multiple stakeholders to achieve goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills- including training and presentations.
  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritize activities.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to read, understand and communicate technical documentation.
  • Able to meet customers in the operating theatre/hospital setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suit of products, especially Excel.
  • Ability to exercise tact and good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead a team in initiatives/project to accomplish business objective.
  • Pro-active time management skills, including prioritization based on business need.
  • Highly motivated, able to work in a fast paced environment with continual change.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English. German or French is an advantage.
