Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is seeking a Senior Equipment Procurement Manager to lead global sourcing, tendering, and supplier management for retail display equipment. You will collaborate with Sales, Design, and Project Management to win new business and drive procurement excellence.

The role requires 6+ years in procurement, international sourcing expertise, and experience with Sage X3. Hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 days at home) is offered, with strong benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years' procurement or buying experience within retail display equipment.
• Previous management experience.
• Experience sourcing products through international supply chains.
• Strong supplier relationship management skills.
• Excellent commercial pricing and negotiation experience with overseas manufacturers.
• Degree educated.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of commercially competitive tender submissions for retail display equipment projects.
• Analyse customer requirements, specifications, and technical drawings to develop accurate cost models.
• Produce Bills of Materials (BOMs) and detailed cost breakdowns.
• Develop procurement strategies across global supply chains, including Asia, Turkey, Europe, and the UK.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and supplier agreements.
• Identify commercial opportunities, cost savings, and supply chain improvements.
• Monitor commodity prices, freight costs, and currency fluctuations.
• Build and maintain long-term strategic supplier relationships.
• Evaluate supplier capability, quality, capacity, and financial stability.
• Identify, onboard, and audit new suppliers.
• Manage purchasing activities to ensure customer delivery requirements are achieved.
• Maintain quality control standards and recover costs where supplier standards are not met.
• Work closely with Business Development to develop winning tender strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement across procurement and tendering processes.
