Job summary

1st Executive is seeking a Procurement Sourcing Lead – Market Data to join its global procurement team in London. You will lead a small team, set priorities, and own two sub-categories within Market Data: terminals/desktop services and data feeds, among others.

You’ll develop global category strategies and manage end-to-end sourcing from opportunity assessment through negotiation and contract execution, partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver measurable cost, quality and innovation

Qualifications

• Proven team management experience, with the ability to coach colleagues and build capability.
• Strong Market Data procurement and category management experience.
• Track record of delivering complex sourcing projects and multi-year category strategies.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
• Commercial judgement and relationship-building to influence senior stakeholders globally.

We're supporting a leading global financial institution in hiring a Procurement Sourcing Manager to join its global Market Data procurement team.

Either London, Manchester, Glasgow or Northern Home Counties

You’ll lead and develop a small team, set clear priorities and build the team's sourcing capability. Alongside this, you’re likely to take ownership of two sub-categories within the wider Market Data portfolio:

• Terminals / desktop services
• Pricing & reference data
• Data feeds
• Exchange data & fees
• Indices & benchmarks
• Credit ratings data
• Research & analytics

What you’ll be doing

You’ll develop and deliver global category strategies, managing end-to-end sourcing activity from opportunity assessment and business case development through to supplier negotiation and contract execution.

Working closely with senior business and Procurement stakeholders, you’ll align sourcing plans with business priorities, identify opportunities to optimise spend and improve supplier performance, and deliver measurable benefits across cost, quality, service and innovation while managing risk and compliance.
