Job summary

Randstad Sourceright is partnering with a dynamic organization to recruit a Procurement Engineer based in Oxford. The role covers a broad portfolio of globally sourced components, with a focus on cost optimization and supplier collaboration.

The position starts ASAP, is a 12-month FTC, 37 hours per week, with in-office training and then hybrid work 2 days remote. Some travel to Europe and internationally is required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or industrial engineering degree required.
• Several years' experience in engineering and/or procurement.
• Experience with cost analysis and cost optimization.
• Knowledge of electro-mechanical components and manufacturing processes.
• Able to collaborate with global suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement with technical expertise and act as interface for cost analysis.
• Organize and perform Cost Value Engineering projects.
• Support product design phase with cost estimation and recommendations.
• Assist local procurement during price negotiations with cost data.
• Develop and standardize value and cost optimization methods.
• Support procurement transformation programmes and digitalisation initiatives.
