Job summary

TikTok is seeking a seasoned privacy lawyer to join the Global E-Commerce Privacy team in London. The role focuses on UK GDPR, EU GDPR, the ePrivacy Directive, and cross-border data transfers for TikTok's global e-commerce operations.

You will review products for privacy compliance, manage data-sharing arrangements, and support privacy impact assessments while coordinating with cross-functional and regional teams to implement governance across markets.

Qualifications

5+ years of privacy-related legal experience.
In-depth knowledge of UK GDPR, EU GDPR, the ePrivacy Directive and related UK rules.
Experience advising multinational businesses on privacy matters and cross-border transfers.

Responsibilities

Actively monitor, analyze, and advise on global privacy laws affecting TikTok's ecommerce.
Review new products, features and initiatives for privacy compliance with TikTok policies.
Advise on data collection, use, sharing, retention, and cross-border transfers of data.
Assess and advise on third-party and intra-group data sharing arrangements and vendor terms.
Support privacy impact assessments and implementation of privacy controls.
