Job summary

Aviagen Turkeys Ltd. (ATL) seeks a Managing Director to lead ATL’s multi-country business from its Chester HQ, with Europe, Russia and new markets in scope and around 40% international travel.

You will own the P&L, set the strategic direction, guide operations and finance across international subsidiaries, and uphold Aviagen’s standards in biosecurity, welfare and customer service.

Relocation to the Chester area and regular international travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years’ senior leadership experience in the poultry industry
• Full P&L accountability for a business of comparable scale
• Multi-country leadership across subsidiaries or General Managers
• Experience trading across geographic remit with exposure to markets carrying trade and currency risk
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Willingness to relocate to the Chester area and travel internationally

Responsibilities

• Lead Aviagen Turkeys Ltd. and its international distribution portfolio
• Own the P&L and set strategic direction for ATL and its subsidiaries
• Oversee financial and operational KPI setting, budgets, forecasts and performance reviews
• Develop distribution platform and routes to market across owned businesses and partners
• Maintain senior relationships with customers, distributors and industry stakeholders
• Represent ATL at senior levels within Aviagen Group and Turkey Group
