Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Derby is seeking a Policy and Compliance Manager to lead the global policy program for Digital & IT. You will develop, implement, and oversee standards and controls, working with General Counsel and cyber leads to embed compliant practices across regions.

The role requires expertise in regulatory obligations, governance, and risk management, with a focus on continuous improvement and training. Hybrid working with three days in the office is expected.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in global policy, compliance, or risk management within highly regulated environments.
• Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders and regulators across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience leveraging AI/automation to streamline policy and compliance processes.
• Strong understanding of aerospace/defence regulatory frameworks and international standards.
• Knowledge of IT governance and information security in secure environments.
• Proven ability to design and implement global policy frameworks and governance models.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of global policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organisational strategy.
• Establish and maintain governance frameworks to oversee the full policy lifecycle: creation, approval, communication, implementation, review.
• Provide guidance to business stakeholders on regulatory obligations, risks, and remediation actions.
• Collaborate with regional units and senior leadership on regulatory and policy matters.
• Liaise with regulators and auditors, ensuring professional representation and management of external relationships.
• Design and deliver global compliance training programmes; promote regulatory awareness.
• Develop and maintain compliance reporting dashboards and KPIs; escalate key risks.
• Drive continuous improvement of compliance frameworks leveraging automation and industry best practices.
