Job summary

Liberty Recruitment Group is partnering with an established international organisation to hire a Payroll Specialist in the Portsmouth or Christchurch area. The role offers hybrid working and a salary around £35,000 with excellent benefits. Permanent with a consideration for a 6-12 month contract.

You will support UK and international payroll, work with external providers, and help improve payroll processes while ensuring compliance and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Previous payroll experience, ideally UK-focused.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
• Experience with outsourced payroll providers.
• Experience calculating payroll reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Proficient Excel skills including Pivot Tables and lookup functions.
• Discretion with confidential employee information.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end processing of UK and international payrolls.
• Prepare and validate payroll changes for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and variance checks.
• Collaborate with external payroll providers to resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with employee benefits and pension contributions administration.
• Respond to payroll queries with professional service.
• Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation.
• Prepare payroll reports for internal stakeholders.
• Identify improvements to payroll processes and systems.
• Support payroll projects and system changes.
