Job summary

VanRath Search & Selection is recruiting a Head of Payroll for Newry & Mourne, Northern Ireland. The role leads global payroll, mobility, travel and expenses, and acts as the main contact for queries and escalations.

You will oversee vendor relationships and ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance. With 5+ years in payroll across multiple countries and solid leadership, you will drive improvements and support integrations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in payroll processing across multiple countries and entities
• Proven management experience, with a hands‑on approach in leading small teams
• Strong vendor management skills, especially in managing outsourced payroll providers
• Excellent knowledge of payroll and expenses within a multinational environment
• Bachelor's degree; CPP or similar certification is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the global payroll, mobility, travel, and expenses team, acting as the main point of contact for queries and escalations
• Oversee end‑to‑end relationship management with outsource vendors, ensuring data accuracy, timely processing, and service level compliance
• Manage the transition between payroll vendors, including data migration, testing
• Review and reconcile all payroll and expenses data, ensuring compliance with local legislation and company policies
• Support integration projects for newly acquired entities and contribute to process improvement initiatives
