Job summary

GlobalPayments Inc. is seeking an experienced senior leader to plan and manage application development and client delivery across a high‑volume payments gateway portfolio.

You will guide multiple teams of managers, engineers and analysts to design, build, test, and operate critical software services with rigorous quality and security standards. You will collaborate with product management, security, risk and compliance to ensure regulatory obligations are met while driving delivery excellence,

Qualifications

• Typically requires nine+ years in software development, delivery or platform engineering.
• Seven+ years of management or supervisory experience.
• Experience leading software development teams on complex, high-availability platforms.
• Experience managing managers or senior technical leads with delivery responsibility.
• Experience in payments, fintech or regulated tech is desirable.
• Senior-level management role with cross-functional responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Plans and manages app development and client delivery for a WPG portfolio.
• Leads teams to design, develop, test, implement and support software products and services.
• Manages full SDLC from planning to production readiness and audit obligations.
• Oversees design, analysis, bug verification, beta support and improvements.
• Resolves delivery, quality and operational issues as escalation point.
• Manages managers, supervisors, engineers, analysts, including hiring and performance.
• Allocates resources to meet priorities; forecasts needs and capacity.
• Maximises throughput and value while ensuring quality, resilience and security.
• Ensures apps meet quality, security and operational readiness standards.
• Adheres to governance, process standards and regulatory controls.
• Provides input to product direction and engineering risk assessment.
• Coordinates with compliance, security, risk and audit teams to verify requirements.
• Ensures tech, architecture and cloud practices are applied across teams.
• Leads delivery improvements and platform simplification initiatives.
• Other related duties as needed.
