Job summary

OKA is seeking a Packaging Technologist to lead packaging development across our furniture and homeware ranges. You will ensure product protection, regulatory compliance, cost efficiency and sustainability, working with global suppliers and UK teams to set standards.

You will manage testing, documentation and packaging specifications, driving improvements and collaborating with Marketing and warehouse teams on packaging formats and D2C initiatives. 2+ years in packaging favoured.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in packaging development.
• Experience in furniture/homeware sectors preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory packaging requirements (EPR, waste) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, specify and approve packaging for all products to ensure protection, quality and brand consistency.
• Act as packaging SME for overseas teams and suppliers, providing guidance and documentation.
• Create and control packaging specifications and drawings across all SKUs.
• Lead packaging testing parameter setup and ensure compliance with standards.
• Lead sustainability and compliance initiatives including EPR reporting and waste reduction.
