Job summary

Confidential in Greater Manchester is seeking a Purchasing Co-ordinator or Packaging Buyer with at least two years' experience in purchasing, buying or related packaging roles. You will manage day-to-day purchasing with overseas packaging manufacturers and work with Sales, Logistics and Quality teams.

Experience with plastic packaging and knowledge of MOQs, lead times and pricing is important. The role offers Christmas Bonus and 20 days holiday, along with regular weekday hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in purchasing, buying or related packaging role.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day purchasing with overseas packaging manufacturers.
• Review quotations, MOQs, lead times and pricing.
• Place purchase orders and monitor progress to completion.
• Support new product development and sourcing projects.
• Carry out cost analysis and identify savings opportunities.
• Maintain pricing, supplier and purchasing information.
• Build relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
• Coordinate with Sales, Logistics and Quality to meet requirements.
• Identify and resolve purchasing or supply issues promptly.
