Job summary

University of Worcester is seeking a Global Opportunities Manager to lead international mobility for students. You will oversee inbound/outbound programmes, manage partnerships and drive initiatives to broaden global experiences across the university.

The role includes line management of the Global Opportunities Coordinator and ensuring regulatory compliance. This critical position sits within Student Services, offering an opportunity to shape international education at Worcester and support

Qualifications

• Significant experience of managing international mobility, study abroad or global opportunities programmes.
• Strong knowledge of partnership management, compliance, quality assurance and risk management in an international context.
• Experience of managing budgets and externally funded projects (e.g., Erasmus+, Turing Scheme).
• Excellent organisational, analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to handle multiple priorities and complex processes.
• Experience of leading staff, projects or service improvements.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships with students, colleagues and international partners.
• A passion for international education and widening access to global opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of international mobility opportunities for students.
• Oversee inbound and outbound mobility programmes and manage international partnerships.
• Lead institutional delivery of the Turing Scheme and Erasmus+ and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Drive initiatives to increase student participation in global opportunities.
• Line manage the Global Opportunities Coordinator and contribute to strategic planning.
