Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Functional Engineering Leader for NPI, Sustaining Engineering and Innovation in Swindon. Lead global engineering programs from concept to lifecycle support, shaping technology strategy and driving cross-functional collaboration across automotive, supplier and academic partners.

The role requires extensive leadership in materials science and product development, with focus on NPI, vibration, and qualification processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in Materials Science, Engineering or related field.
Significant leadership experience in materials science, product development, NPI, sustaining engineering, or VAVE environments.
Understanding of automotive applications and qualification processes.

Responsibilities

Lead global NPI, sustaining engineering, qualification labs, VAVE and innovation portfolio.
Define and execute technology and product engineering roadmap aligned to business strategy.
Drive development of differentiated material and product solutions to strengthen market position.
Oversee program execution including prioritization, resource planning, risk management, reviews, and launches.
Lead value engineering and cost optimization with operations, quality, supply chain, product management, and commercial teams.
Develop internal and external innovation networks with suppliers, universities, and industry partners.
Build and develop a global engineering organization with emphasis on digital engineering and cross-functional collaboration.
