Job summary

TE Connectivity Swindon is seeking a Senior Project Manager Engineer to lead capital investment projects from concept through handover. You will develop equipment specifications, manage supplier selection and procurement, prepare CAPEX submissions and budgets, and drive safe, on-time delivery within regulatory and company standards.

This role requires strong cross-functional leadership and lean manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial or electrical engineering.
• Experience delivering capital equipment projects.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD; CREO or Inventor preferred.
• PM qualification such as APM, PRINCE2, PMP.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from concept to handover within scope, budget and timeline.
• Develop equipment specifications with engineering teams.
• Manage supplier selection, quotations and cost estimates.
• Prepare CAPEX submissions with financial justification.
• Coordinate procurement, installation, commissioning and validation.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance and RAMS review.
• Lead value stream and workstation layouts using lean principles.
• Provide project reporting and stakeholder communication.
