Job summary

Crcevans is seeking a Global Mobility Manager to lead development and delivery of mobility programs supporting deployed project operations across domestic and international sites.

You will partner with HR, Tendering, Operations, Tax and Finance to ensure compliant, timely movement, immigration and tax compliance, and a positive experience for globally deployed staff.

The Global Mobility Manager will lead the development and the relevant delivery of global mobility programs, policies, and processes supporting the company's deployed project operations. The role ensures the effective compliant and timely movement, of employees and contractors across domestic and international project sites.

Working closely with the relevant functions, the Global Mobility Manager is responsible for translating business needs into practical mobility solutions, ensuring compliance with immigration, tax, and labour requirements, and supporting a positive employee experience for globally deployed personnel.

Rolespecificresponsibilities

1. Mobility Leadership

• Develop, maintain and implement global mobility policies and processes that support operational and organizational objectives and the specific requirements of deployed project operations
• Work with senior leadership, HR, Tendering, Operations, Tax and Finance to understand and forecast global resource requirements and support project mobilisation planning
• Establish policies and practical frameworks for international assignments, rotations, deployments and localizations, ensuring consistency, compliance and cost effectiveness
• Advise the operations and other relevant stakeholders on mobility compliance risks and best practice for managing globally deployed workforces
• Identify and implement process improvements and digital solution initiatives to streamline deployment, tracking and reporting

2. Deployment & Assignment Management

• Coordinate end-to-end mobility processes for assignments, short-term deployments, and rotational workforce programs
• Oversee global deployment logistics, and supervise, in close collaboration with all the relevant functions involved, processes concerning travel, visas, work permits, medical clearances, and legal compliance documentation
• Ensure timely onboarding, and support mobilization, and demobilization of personnel for global projects
• Coordinate closely with project managers and operations leaders to align workforce movement with project timelines and site readiness
• Manage any international secondments/relocations from end to end

3. Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with international tax, immigration, social security, and labour laws in all countries of operation
• Develop and manage relationships with external advisors, EOR and resourcing specialists and government agencies
• Monitor changes in global regulations affecting mobility and advise relevant stakeholders on practical risk mitigation actions and policy and processes update
• Support health, safety, and security compliance for deployed staff, in liaison with the relevant functions, including emergency evacuation and crisis management protocols

4. Compensation, Benefits & Cost Control

• Work with HR and Payroll to ensure competitive and compliant international assignment packages (including any allowances and benefits) and ensure effective processing
• Manage global mobility budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery of relocation and assignment services
• Review the financial impact of mobility policies, with the relevant functions and recommend efficiencies or improvements

5. Employee Support

• Oversee any pre-deployment induction, training and onboarding requirements
• Maintain effective communication channels for deployed employees to ensure ongoing support and engagement

6. Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Coordinate and improve global mobility services across regions, ensuring consistent delivery and clear ways of working
• Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Operations, Finance, Tax, and Legal departments to ensure alignment on all mobility-related matters
• Provide regular reporting and analysis to executive leadership on workforce mobility trends, costs, and compliance risks

6. Health & Safety

• Ensure alignment with the business to ensure support and requisite benefits are secured for those being working away from home location

Job Specific Education Required:

• Qualification Required: Degree in Project Management, Human Resources Management, or International Management (Master's preferred), or, qualified by experience

Work Experience Required:

• Extensive experience in Global Mobility or International HR, with at least 5 years accrued in a managerial role supporting large-scale or project-based international assignments across multiple countries or region
• Proven experience managing complex international mobility programmes across multiple regions
• Strong knowledge of global tax, immigration, labour law, and assignment compliance frameworks
• Experience working within engineering, construction, energy or project operations - energy industry experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage vendors and third-party providers (e.g., emergency response, travel, and immigration services)
• Demonstrated proactivity with strong communication, influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
