Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced media relations and social media professional to join its Global Media Relations and Social Media team in the United Kingdom. The Assistant Director will manage senior stakeholders, shape external visibility for Global Industrials & Energy, and collaborate with Brand, Marketing & Communications to deliver integrated programs.

Qualifications

• External communications experience essential.
• Experience advising senior leaders on media and communications matters.
• Strong writing with attention to detail; ability to simplify complex topics.
• Ability to work with technical or specialist content.
• Proven relationships with international media (e.g., Financial Times, WSJ, Reuters).
• Proven experience planning and activating social media campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Manage senior global stakeholders to deliver executive visibility programs.
• Develop and execute integrated media and social media strategies.
• Oversee external PR agency teams and evaluate earned media KPIs.
• Generate earned media across global, national, and trade outlets.
• Advise senior leaders on media engagement and messaging.
• Plan and deliver social campaigns with Global Social Media team.
• Create high‑quality PR content from EY thought leadership and insights.
• Coordinate with regional PR counterparts for global storytelling.
• Support global announcements, reports, and major events.
