Baker Hughes in Aberdeen seeks an MD Material & Planning Senior Manager to own the end-to-end planning, material readiness, and inventory performance for the Manifold & Distribution business. You will translate project demand into one executable plan across Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and yards.

The role emphasizes leading a planning organization, optimizing inventory, and coordinating with internal partners to support a hybrid manufacturing/yards model across global fabrication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Strong experience in inventory management, order management, inventory optimization, and asset utilization.
• Solid knowledge of Oracle, MRP, and inventory management processes.
• Experience working in complex supply chain and manufacturing environments.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decisions.
• Ability to collaborate, influence stakeholders, and manage relationships across functions and regions.
• Experience developing and executing inventory strategies balancing planning with execution.
• Leadership, communication and team development capabilities; supply chain certifications (APICS) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own the M&D Master Production Schedule: Create a forward-looking plan aligned with project/customer priorities and execution capability.
• Own Material & MRP Readiness: Translate demand into material signals, identify shortages and long-lead risks, and drive procurement actions.
• Own M&D Inventory: Manage overall inventory position and performance, balancing availability with efficiency.
• Integrate Project Demand with Execution: Connect Projects Engineering MPS/MRP Materials/Sourcing Manufacturing/Yards Customer Delivery into one aligned plan.
• Manage Capacity & Execution Risk: Ensure demand is achievable against internal manufacturing and external-yard capacity.
• Support the Industrialisation of M&D: Enable repeatable scope toward a Manufacturing model with planning strategy.
• Lead the M&D Planning Organisation: Set priorities across Master Scheduling, Material Planning, Production Planning and Delivery Planning.
