Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Material Planning Leader for the Production Control Systems at Nailsea COE to own material and production planning activities. You will collaborate across functions to ensure on-time material delivery and address risks that could impact project execution.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely release of materials into the supply chain and flag risks to stakeholders.
• Work cross-functionally to meet project deliverables and resolve material delays.
• Own material planning KPIs for the Nailsea COE.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to align on plan accuracy and capacity.
• Manage backlog slot planning aligned with material and capacity constraints.
• Lead launch readiness processes to address material risks and availability.
• Lead and develop a team of material planners and Production Controllers.
• Optimize material plans by identifying supply risks and mitigation strategies.
• Manage the launch of new products, qualifications and setup.
• Problem solve material-related issues with Engineering and Procurement.
• Ensure cleanliness of MRP at all times.
• Manage stock levels to minimize excess and optimize stock on hand.

As a Material Planning Lead, you will own all material and production planning activities for the Production Control Line at the Nailsea Controls Centre of Excellence (COE). You will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure materials are delivered on time to support project execution in Nailsea, England.

As a Material Planning Leader, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring timely release of materials into the supply chain and flagging risks to stakeholders
• Working cross-functionally to meet project deliverables and resolve material delays
• Owning material planning KPIs for the Nailsea COE.
• Work closely with manufacturing to
• Manage backlog slot planning aligned with material and capacity constraints.
• Leading launch readiness processes to address material risks, equipment and skills sets availability for upcoming shop orders
• Leading and developing a team of material planners and Production Controllers.
• Optimizing material plans by identifying supply risks and implementing mitigation strategies
• Managing the launch of new products, qualifications and set up.
• Problem solving material related issues by working cross functionally with Engineering and Procurement.
• Ensuring cleanliness of MRP at all time
• Managing stock level and ensuring minimum to no excess creation and working with engineering on using stock on hand instead of buying new
