Job summary

Baker Hughes in the United Kingdom seeks an MD Material & Planning Senior Manager to lead end-to-end planning, material readiness, and inventory performance across the Manifold & Distribution business, translating project and customer demand into one executable plan with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and global yards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Strong experience in inventory management, order management, inventory optimization, and asset utilization.
• Solid knowledge of Oracle, MRP, and inventory management processes.
• Experience in complex supply chain and manufacturing environments.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making.
• Ability to collaborate, influence stakeholders, and manage cross-functional relationships.
• Experience developing and executing inventory strategies balancing planning with execution.
• Demonstrated leadership and team development; APICS certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own the M&D Master Production Schedule and define what needs to be built, where and when.
• Own Material & MRP Readiness; translate demand into material signals and drive procurement actions.
• Own M&D Inventory; balance availability with efficiency and address excess/aging/obsolete inventory.
• Integrate project demand with execution across engineering, MPS/MRP, materials/sourcing, manufacturing/yards, and delivery.
• Manage capacity and execution risk by ensuring demand is achievable with available capacity and readiness.
• Support the industrialisation of M&D by enabling repeatable scope toward manufacturing models with defined planning strategies.
• Lead the M&D Planning Organisation across Master Scheduling, Material Planning, Production Planning and Delivery Planning.
