Job summary

Xpertis Talent are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical) based in Oxfordshire on a permanent basis. The role covers installation, commissioning and servicing equipment for global customers in the food and pharmaceutical sectors.

The successful candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, be able to work independently within a multidisciplinary team, and be prepared to travel worldwide, including staying away from home and occasional weekend/evening

Qualifications

Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Basic computer skills including Outlook, Word and Excel.
Full UK driving licence; forklift licence preferred.
Willingness to travel worldwide and stay away from home.
Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.

Responsibilities

Assemble and test equipment prior to dispatch.
Install and commission equipment at customer sites worldwide.
Test and repair returned faulty equipment.
Assist with trials of customer products and coatings.
Assist with the development of equipment designs and product improvements.
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems.
Working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver projects and customer requirements.
Travelling internationally to customer sites and supporting equipment installations and commissioning.
