Job summary

Hogan Lovells Cadwalader is seeking a proactive Senior Manager to support its M&BD Sectors team. This role partners with Sectors leadership to shape marketing and business development activity aligned with firm strategy and priorities.

The Senior Manager will guide sector leadership, oversee portfolio management across the firm’s sectors program, mentor team members, and drive high-impact cross-sector initiatives and growth programs.

Qualifications

• Approximately 9–10+ years of relevant experience in legal or professional services.
• Proactive, strategic and commercial mindset with ability to spot opportunities.
• Experience leading and coaching a BD team and managing cross-functional teams.
• Strong writing, diplomacy, and client-focused communication.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sector and firm leadership to develop and execute business development strategies and campaigns.
• Lead and mentor the sector M&BD team, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Drive cross-sector campaigns, thought leadership, and market-facing initiatives.
• Support sector program operations, onboarding, and cross-functional integration.
• Develop tailored client strategies and refine messaging for growth opportunities.
• Provide strategic guidance to partners and BD teams on pitches and RFP responses.
• Utilize data-led insights to inform sector strategy and ROI.
• Promote best practices across sectors, practices, and regions.
• Continuously improve processes and operating models for efficiency and impact.
• Contribute to broader M&BD priorities as directed.
