Job summary

Proactive Global in Cambridge is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to manage all aspects of logistics, ensuring spare parts and machines meet business needs while complying with customs regulations.

The role covers packing, dispatch, import/export documentation, quotations, and process improvements across LCL, FCL, DG, and international freight; strong IT skills with Excel and Word are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience with freight forwarding, booking shipments, and preparing import/export documentation.
• Knowledge of HTS/HS codes, Incoterms and export packing.
• Experience shipping dangerous goods by road and/or air would be beneficial.
• IT skills, especially Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of logistics operations while ensuring adherence to all relevant customs regulations.
• Coordinate the packing and dispatch of regular consolidation shipments to the central spares hub in Europe.
• Ensuring full accuracy of inventory, compliance with shipping documentation requirements, and adherence to delivery schedules.
• Manage and process all import clearances with third parties, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of all required documentation.
• Arrange all aspects of Spares, Freight, and Machine shipments, ensuring the preparation and accuracy of all export documentation in line with customer requirements.
• Obtain, review, and manage Machine and Freight quotations to secure cost-effective and compliant transport solutions.
• Optimise logistics processes and identify improvements across LCL (Low Container Load), FCL (Full Container Load), DG (Dangerous Goods by air, road, and sea), and international freight movements.
• Update and maintain all Logistics procedures and work instructions.
• Maintain a high level of knowledge across HTS codes, packing regulations, and country-specific export requirements.
• Act as Logistics representative for internal meeting and provide updates on current on-going machine shipment status.
• Strong understanding of international trade, Customs compliance, and Incoterms.
