Job summary

Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited in London is seeking an experienced Event Engineer with a broadcast-focused background to join our events team, supporting live broadcasts worldwide from pre-event prep to on-site setup and testing. You will interpret technical drawings, test equipment, meet clients, monitor services, and produce daily reports. The role requires SDI/UHD, Ethernet, fiber, JPEG2000, and Windows/Office 365 proficiency, plus a full driving license.

Qualifications

Cable making (coax, Ethernet) required.
Baseband video expertise (SDI, UHD) essential.
Fiber optic knowledge required.
MPEG encoding/decoding skills needed.
JPEG2000 knowledge advantageous.
Net Insight product familiarity desirable.
Windows/Office 365 proficiency required.
Basic IP networking knowledge needed.
Network troubleshooting skills essential.
Broadcast event experience required.

Responsibilities

Pre-Event Prep: Test and stage event equipment; interpret technical drawings; meet with clients.
