Boston Consulting Group seeks an Learning Architecture Director, AI Upskilling, to lead the firm’s architecture for digital and AI capabilities. You will translate global priorities into scalable upskilling across senior teams, balancing speed and rigour while aligning with Digital, AI, Practice Areas and HR leaders.
You will drive an adaptive, AI-powered learning ecosystem with data-driven decisions, while partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver measurable business impact.
Boston Consulting Group partners with leaders in business and society to tackle their most important challenges and capture their greatest opportunities. BCG was the pioneer in business strategy when it was founded in 1963. Today, we help clients with total transformation-inspiring complex change, enabling organizations to grow, building competitive advantage, and driving bottom-line impact.
To succeed, organizations must blend digital and human capabilities. Our diverse, global teams bring deep industry and functional expertise and a range of perspectives to spark change. BCG delivers solutions through leading-edge management consulting along with technology and design, corporate and digital ventures—and business purpose. We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, generating results that allow our clients to thrive.
BCG's 2030 strategy is built on one central theme: where strategic clarity meets applied AI. Closing the gap between AI ambition and measurable impact is the defining challenge BCG helps its clients solve — and building the most AI-fluent workforce in the world is how BCG delivers on that promise internally. As Learning Architecture Director, AI Upskilling, you will be part of a team as a rapid-response unit — dividing and conquering across BCG's upskilling portfolio while holding shared standards and a common direction. Within that team, you own the firmwide architecture for building digital and AI capabilities across BCG — setting the strategic direction for your domain, designing the system, and ensuring it connects with what your peers are building. You will work directly with senior leaders across Digital, AI, Practice Areas, and People teams to translate BCG's global priorities into a coherent, scalable upskilling ecosystem with measurable business outcomes.
Your mandate goes beyond programme design. BCG has committed to a continuous cycle of capability building — combining world-class training, leading AI tools, hands‑on experimentation, and a first-of-its-kind AI certification programme. Critically, you will architect the next generation of learning itself: adaptive learning experiences that respond to individual needs and proficiency levels, and AI-powered learning in the flow of work that removes the boundary between doing and developing. You will make architectural decisions about what gets built internally versus sourced externally, where to pilot and where to scale, and how to balance speed with rigour. You will track adoption, synthesise learner data and stakeholder signals, and use that evidence to continuously sharpen the architecture. The team moves fast and responds to evolving business and learner needs: you will pivot as priorities shift, share findings across the unit, and pick up collective work when the portfolio demands it.
You’ll be dedicated to our Rapid Response Team that takes care of high priority business requests to upskill our workforce quickly in emerging topics. Your current focus will be on AI and Digital Fluency. You’ll work closely with the Global Learning Experience Design & Operations team, a distributed and diverse group of learning professionals delivering development at scale across BCG. You will also collaborate with colleagues from Digital, AI, Practice Areas, Staffing, and HR teams across regions to ensure digital upskilling efforts are aligned, practical, and embedded in how the firm operates.
