Job summary

A&O Shearman is seeking a Knowledge Engineering & Platform Lead to oversee the firm-wide strategy for legal knowledge platforms, ontology management, and knowledge engineering. You will work with the Global Chief Knowledge Officer and senior stakeholders to design standards and governance, ensuring AI-enabled knowledge is reliable and reusable across the firm.

Qualifications

At least 10 years' experience in technology, knowledge management, legal technology, data platforms or a closely related discipline.

Responsibilities

Lead development of the product strategy and multi-year roadmap for legal knowledge platforms.
Oversee knowledge engineering and ontology management across platforms.
Design and implement taxonomy, ontology relationships, and metadata standards.
Drive migration from legacy platforms to AI-enabled knowledge ecosystem.
Collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure platform alignment with enterprise architecture and regulatory obligations.
Champion data-driven improvements and measurable business value.
