Job Description:

A close hedge fund client is building out a systematic Commodities business, headquartered in the UK. Currently, there is no exposure to Commodities, and they seek a Head of Commodities with PM responsibilities to develop a PnL-driven business with autonomy across the Commodities suite.

Applicants must demonstrate a strong, proven, current track record, including building successful Commodities verticals and vetting PMs for onboarding.

Necessary relationships with market connectivity and data vendors, as well as knowledge of costs, timelines, and infrastructure buildout, are essential. The fund will cover many startup costs, with flexibility around IP ownership and due diligence limits. Centralized quantitative resources will support infrastructure development.

Must have:

• A PnL of $20Mn+ annually
• A current, positive, live track record with a Sharpe ratio of 1.7+
• Extensive experience in the Commodities sector
• Experience in building Commodities verticals
• Expertise in Cross-Commodities, Cross Energy, or Metals strategies
