Job summary

WPP Production seeks a Business Director to drive growth and manage strategic client relationships across a portfolio of major brands. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, shape production strategies, and leverage AI-enabled capabilities to deliver high-impact campaigns.

You will partner with GCMD/GCL and Client Delivery to drive revenue, ensure client satisfaction, and grow the agency's opportunities. This role requires strong storytelling, strategic thinking and leadership across functions.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Client Services industry, working in a marketing, integrated campaigns/digital agency and/or consultancy environment.
• Demonstrated ability to grow revenue through strategic and organic growth and new business.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Expert client relationship skills – multi-stakeholder environment, matrix reporting, industry POV.
• Experience driving positive and/or turning around Client Satisfaction Scores.
• Ability to write clear, cohesive and focused client communications including strategic presentations with strong storytelling skills. Also training Sr ADs and ADs to develop these skills.
• Authentically passionate about great work, teams and business.
• Curiosity and insatiable need for continual learning that is infectious.
• AI Proficiency: A strong grasp of the marketing technology landscape, specifically GenAI, Agentic workflows, and how they will disrupt traditional production hierarchies.
• Proven consultative skills with a proactive and strategic approach to client engagement, serving as a trusted adviser

Responsibilities

• Grow and manage client accounts to drive revenue and profitability.
• Develop strategic plans, opportunities, and quarterly business reviews with clients.
• Lead and mentor creative and delivery teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Provide strategic guidance and investments in AI-enabled capabilities for clients.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure client satisfaction and governance.
• Collaborate across GCMD, GCL and Client Delivery to deliver compelling case studies and content.
