Job summary

EA First Group is seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead the Group's statutory consolidation and IFRS reporting across the business. This is a high-visibility role within a £4bn turnover international group.

You will own end-to-end consolidation, prepare group and UK statutory statements, review subsidiary submissions, and act as the primary contact for external auditors in a complex, high-growth environment. ACA-qualified with audit-firm background preferred.

Qualifications

• ACA qualified accountant with strong experience in group consolidation and statutory reporting.
• Experience in a large audit firm with exposure to complex group structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end consolidation process for half-year and year-end.
• Prepare Group and UK statutory financial statements ensuring full IFRS compliance.
• Review and validate subsidiary submissions.
• Prepare and post consolidation journals including inter-company eliminations and adjustments.
• Perform detailed variance analysis on consolidated results.
• Act as primary contact for external auditors.
• Ensure strong internal controls over group reporting and consolidation adjustments.
• Provide technical expertise on IFRS accounting treatments.
