Job summary

Azenta Life Sciences is seeking a Global Freight Procurement & RFQ Lead to drive a comprehensive diagnostic of global freight spend, carrier base, and transportation arrangements. You will challenge current freight purchasing, develop an RFQ/RFP process, and present a clear global freight strategy with recommended providers and a transition roadmap.

The role collaborates with Operations, Procurement, Finance, Sales, Customer Service and regional teams to align recommendations with business needs

Qualifications

• Strong experience in freight procurement, logistics sourcing, transportation management, carrier management or supply chain cost reduction projects.

Responsibilities

• Map current global freight activity and providers across lanes and regions.
• Analyse freight spend to identify savings opportunities and avoidable costs.
• Develop RFQ/RFP strategy and supplier evaluation framework.
• Lead supplier Q&A, bid clarification and commercial comparison.
• Build a business case with cost savings and implementation plan.
