Job summary

AM Global is seeking a Lead Buyer to act as a focal point in the Supply Chain function, guiding complex purchases, supplier performance and risk mitigation. The role emphasizes data‑driven decisions, cross‑functional collaboration, and escalation resolution to support the supply chain strategy.

You will drive RFQ accuracy, supplier onboarding and KPI ownership while managing delivery plans and cost analysis for strategic spend. This position is based in the UK with standard office hours.

Qualifications

• Must be an established procurement professional.
• Proven supplier relationship management experience.
• Proficient with ERP/MRP systems.
• Uses data-driven insights to guide purchasing decisions.
• Able to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Experienced negotiator delivering cost savings.
• Works well in a team-based environment.
• Familiar with contract agreements and compliance.
• Understanding terms and conditions and supplier agreements.

Responsibilities

• Support PO placement from request to supplier acknowledgement.
• Negotiate delivery schedules to improve Inventory Turns.
• Lead supplier development, onboarding and issue resolution.
• Provide tactical cost analysis for strategic buying decisions.
• Maintain and update the Supplier Matrix for RFQ activity.
• Manage supplier escalations, including expediting and freight.
• Own KPI dashboards and provide data insights to support supplier development.
