Job summary

Vax is seeking a Project Leader – Engineering Global Floorcare to guide cross‑functional teams from concept to launch. You will drive alignment, execution, and accountability across cost, schedule, and performance while navigating global collaboration.

The role requires 5+ years in engineering, a B.S. in engineering, and hands‑on experience with NPD processes, CAD tooling, and design validation. Expect global travel and a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in floorcare or related field.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
• Experience managing moderately complex new product development projects.
• High level of engineering aptitude with materials and manufacturing processes for floorcare products.
• 10–15% travel required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership over moderate to highly complex design projects.
• Direct and guide local and global team members with engineering expertise.
• Review work of designers, engineers, and other project team members.
• Set goals for the team and develop schedules for meetings and milestones.
• Track project schedules to ensure timelines are met and budgets upheld.
• Present project status to stakeholders and management regularly.
• Coordinate planning efforts for moderately complex projects and identify risks.
• Lead technical trade‑offs with Marketing and cross‑functional teams.
• Maintain focus on cost, performance, and schedule throughout the project life cycle.
• Work with Operations, Quality, and Suppliers to ensure conforming parts and assemblies.
