Job summary

Vax in Droitwich is rebuilding its new product development function, and as Project Lead you will own end-to-end delivery from scope to commercial release. You will lead across engineering, marketing, operations, quality and suppliers to deliver one aligned plan, four days a week on site.

Own the commercials, cost, margin and business case, drive decisions with senior stakeholders, and remove blockers to momentum.

Qualifications

• Designer or engineer background in hardware or physical product development.
• Evidence of shipping physical products from concept to launch.
• Proven experience organising and planning across cross functional teams.
• Proven commercial understanding of cost, margin and business case.
• Outgoing, confident communicator with senior stakeholders.

Own a product programme end to end, including the commercials, as a Project Lead for Vax in Droitwich, rebuilding new product development for one of the UK's best-known floor care brands. Four days a week on site, driving delivery rather than tracking a plan.

Scope of the Role

As a Project Lead at Vax, you will own a new product development programme end to end, from scope and schedule through to commercial delivery. You will lead across engineering, marketing, operations, quality and suppliers, driving every product to market.

• Own programme scope, schedule, risk and delivery, measured on products reaching market.
• Build the plan and drive progress, rather than maintaining someone else's Gantt chart.
• Lead engineering, marketing, operations, quality and suppliers to one aligned plan.
• Own the commercials, cost, margin and the business case, not just the timeline.
• Force trade-off decisions and remove barriers to keep momentum up.

Key Skills and Experience Required

• A designer or engineer background in hardware or physical product development, now leading delivery as a Project Lead, Programme Manager or Product Development Manager.
• Evidence of shipping physical products from concept to launch, not just managing a plan.
• Proven experience organising and planning across cross functional teams.
• Proven commercial understanding of cost, margin and business case, not only schedule.
• An outgoing, confident communicator comfortable driving decisions with senior stakeholders.
