Job summary

WSP is seeking a Fire Engineer to work on diverse projects—from university campuses in Scotland to high‑rise towers across the UK. You’ll review design information, liaise with Facades, Acoustics and Structures, and present to local authorities and the Fire Service to enhance building safety.

You’ll be guided through software and standards, with a clear path toward professional registration via IFE and related bodies. Join a team with a collaborative culture and strong social community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in fire engineering consulting.
• Role can be based from any UK major office.

Responsibilities

• Review design information and liaise with Facades, Acoustics and Structures.
• Present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service.
• Inform the design team about changes to increase fire safety of the building.
• Learn and use software packages, fire standards and client updates during delivery.
