Costello Medical is seeking a Financial Accountant to lead US accounting, support global controllership, and enhance accounting processes across multiple entities. The role is based at our Cambridge HQ with international scope across the US, Canada, and beyond.

The position offers a starting salary from £50,000, with potential for higher depending on qualifications and experience. It's a permanent role with flexible hours and hybrid working options; start dates are throughout 2027.

Qualifications

• Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, US CPA, or equivalent).
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to build robust working relationships.
• Exceptional organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own US accounting function, including month-end close and US tax reporting.
• Manage sub-group consolidations and timely reporting across US and other entities.
• Oversee US tax activities, including estimated payments with external advisers.
• Contribute to cash flow forecasting, financial planning and risk analysis.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, prepayments and accruals.
• Ensure intercompany accounting and multi-entity reporting across the group.
• Assist with year-end close, audits, and ongoing compliance.
• Collaborate with global teams to implement process improvements and change initiatives.
